Journal reading room (Valkeakoski City Library)

We do not loan the newspapers, but you can read them at the newspaper reading room. We currently have the newspaper catalogue in Finnish. Feel free to ask the library staff about the newspapers.

Apart from the most current issue, all magazines are for loan. The loan period for magazines is two weeks. We currently have the magazine catalogue in Finnish. Feel free to ask the library staff about the magazines.

Domestic newspapers in Finnish. Can be used in the library premises. No remote access.

Foreign magazines and newspapers from 150 countries.

There are two computers at the newspaper reading room which you can use to read e-magazines and e-newspapers.

Newspaper reading room has its own entrance. The newspaper reading room has self-service hours in addition to the regular opening hours. During the self-service hours, there is no staff in the library but you can read and borrow printed magazines and newspapers as well as read e-magazines and e-newspapers from the computer. Customers can get into the newspaper reading room during self service hours using their PIKI library card and four-digit pin-code.

You can borrow magazines on the self-service machine. Return the materials to the library or in the return hatch.
