    • Season tickets for checkout

       General rules:

      • Tickets are available for checkout at the main library.
      • Tickets must be returned to the main library.
      • The loan period for tickets is one week.
      • The loan cannot be renewed.
      • Tickets cannot be reserved.
      • To check ticket availability, search “kausikortti” in the library catalogue.
      • You can have only one ticket on loan at a time.
      • The main library lobby has printed copies of tickets available for checkout. Exchange the copy for the actual ticket at the first floor information desk.
      • You cannot borrow a ticket again immediately after returning it.
      • The late fee for tickets is 0.35 euros/day. The library will send you an overdue notice immediately after the due date.
      • If you do not return the ticket within three days of the due date, the ticket will be deactivated and it will no longer be valid. You will be charged the replacement fee of the ticket.

      Vaasa city orchestra season cards

      Vaasa city orchestra season cards will not be available for the time being,

      • Two Grande season cards to the orchestra’s spring 2021 concerts.
      • The Grande season cards have no assigned seats, all seats are on a first-come, first-served basis.
      • Each ticket comes in a ticket holder with hanging strap.
      • The replacement fee for a ticket is 200 euros.

      Vaasa city theatre

      Vaasa city theatre season cards will not be available for the time being,

      • Two season tickets available for checkout.
      • Each season ticket entitles you to one ticket per checkout to a Vaasa city theatre production.
      • The date of the performance must fall within the loan period of the season ticket.
      • The season tickets cannot be used for concerts, visiting shows, opening night performances, or shows that are sold out.
      • Redeem your tickets by showing the season ticket at the theatre’s box office at Pitkäkatu 53. The season ticket alone does not entitle you to enter the auditorium.
      • If you exchange a ticket that you have purchased with a season ticket, you will be charged an exchange fee of 10 euros.
      • You can only exchange the tickets for tickets to another performance on the same week.
      • Each ticket comes in a ticket holder with hanging strap.
      • The replacement fee for a lost ticket is 200 euros.

    • The collection point for second hand book store Finlandia Kirja

      Do you have books you do not need anymore? If the books are not suitable for the library’s collection or the book swap corner, you can donate them to the online second hand book store Finlandia Kirja.

      Put your books in a cardboard box at the collection point by the Raastuvankatu entry in the main library. The library will send the boxes to Finlandia Kirja. You can donate as many books as you want. If you donate ten books or more, you will receive a gift token code by email. You can redeem the gift token code in the Finlandia Kirja online shop at www.finlandiakirja.fi

      When you drop off your donation at the collection point, you must also fill in and sign a donation form where you enter your contact details and agree to the donation terms.

      Finlandia Kirja will sell the books in the online shop or recycle them into ecological insulation material.

      Please notice! Finlandia Kirja does not accept smelly or moldy books, encyclopedia sets, or donations of over 200 books. If you want to donate a large amount of books, please contact Finlandia Kirja at hankinta@finlandiakirja.fi, or call 050 349 6266 (Mon–Fri 8:00–15:00).

      Please, do not remove books from the boxes at the collection point! The donated books are the property of Finlandia Kirja. If you are looking for a free book to take home, please visit the book swap corner in the main library lobby.
