The reference book collection is available for reading at the library. Reference books may not be checked out. 
 

Books about Vuosaari and people in Vuosaari.

You can use the customer computers in the library for two hours at a time without booking them beforehand.

You can also borrow a laptop computer to be used in the library with your library card and ID.

Black and white or colour copies, self-service, sizes A4 and A3. One-sided copy €0.40/sheet, two-sided copy €0.80/sheet. 

For use in the library, may not be checked out.

For use in the library only, you cannot take the laminator home. Prices: A4 €0.30, A3 €0.40.

A selection of exercise and sports equipment for loan. Loan period 2 weeks.

You can print black and white or colour prints on the customer printers. Price €0.40 per one-sided sheet, €0.80 per two-sided sheet. Customers can also use the Papercut self-service and mobile printing service from their own devices.

Separate scanners and multifunction device

Separate cyrillic keyboard for customer workstations.

Hublet drive that includes six tablets for use in the library. Hublet tablets can be borrowed with a library card and PIN, with an operating time of 2 hours.

You can read Finnish newspapers and foreign newspapers and magazines in digital format on designated tablets at the library.

The silent hall is suitable for reading and working alone quietly.

It is your own responsibility if you return your loans via the returning box. If you return items via the returning box when the library is closed, you cannot get a receipt because the loans are not registered as returned into the library system this way. The library staff records the items returned via the returning box as returned only on the next opening day of the library. Items returned in the returning box can result in penalty fees until the returns are recorded.

The rainbow shelf improves the discoverability and equality of LGBTQIA* material in the library. Library staff stock the rainbow shelf with materials for adults, young people and children that describe the life of sexual and gender minorities and rainbow culture mainly through positive representation. Homophobic and transphobic material does not belong on the rainbow shelf. Rainbow shelves can be found in several Helmet libraries, and all their materials can be reserved and borrowed in accordance with the Helmet rules of use. The material placed in the rainbow shelves of Helsinki City Library can be found in the Helmet database with the search word “sateenkaarihylly” (“rainbow shelf”).

Audiobooks in the Celia library are intended for people with various challenges with reading. As an online customer, you can use your device to listen to any of the 40,000 audiobooks in the library collection, and as a CD club customer audiobooks will be delivered to you at home every month. You will need a picture ID for registration. People under the age of 15 need a guarantor.
