In Oodi we have
- three rooms with console games and
- one game room with gaming computers.

The gaming computers in the game room cannot be booked in advance. There are 14 gaming computers for both children and adults. We use the Pelitalo system, which means you log in using your personal codes. You can get the codes by showing your library card to the personnel in front of the game room of Oodi (2nd floor).

Meeting rooms

There are ten rooms for meetings and working groups and six smaller workspaces on the second floor of Oodi. You can book them via Varaamo.

Kuutio (room)

Kuutio is located on the second floor of Oodi. Kuutio is a glass-walled space of 90 square meters. The space is currently mainly used as a meeting room and training facility. The space is equipped with two screens and projectors. Kuutio can be rented and you can check out available times slots and book the room at Varaamo.

Kino Regina on the first floor with 250 m2 of auditorium-style space is a suitable venue for lectures, film screenings and various events. By reserving Kino Regina, you agree to comply with the rules for the facility.

The guided tours in Oodi are organized by the Helsinki Tourist Guides, e-mail: oodi@helsinkiguides.fi . A tour lasts for an hour and costs 110€.
Library presentations for immigrants and adult groups in need of special support can be booked via Varaamo. In these presentations we offer guidance on how to use the library’s basic facilities and services.

Rainbow shelf
The rainbow shelf improves the discoverability and equality of LGBTQIA* material in the library. Library staff stock the rainbow shelf with materials for adults, young people and children that describe the life of sexual and gender minorities and rainbow culture mainly through positive representation. Homophobic and transphobic material does not belong on the rainbow shelf. Rainbow shelves can be found in several Helmet libraries, and all their materials can be reserved and borrowed in accordance with the Helmet rules of use. The material placed in the rainbow shelves of Helsinki City Library can be found in the Helmet database with the search word “sateenkaarihylly” (“rainbow shelf”).
